US has supplemented Vietnam to the list of countries allowed to receive Nuclear Technology transfer and assistance

Also according to this information, U.S National Nuclear Security Agency has updated the Federal Regulation (Part 810) that governs the export of unclassified nuclear technology and assistance, which is expected to streamline US – VN nuclear trade.
Part 810 enables civil nuclear trade by ensuring that nuclear technology and assistance exported from the United States will be used for peaceful purposes only.
The revision of the regulation was started by the US National Nuclear Security Agency in 2011 and the final version has taken into account considerations and comments from the industry, academia and other concerning parties during the four-year rulemaking process.
Recognizing the importance of nuclear technology in today society, US National Nuclear Security Agency has made Part 810 into a regulation that both meets the requirements to ensure peaceful uses of the nuclear energy and extending use of nuclear technology worldwide.
This updated regulation was published in the Federal Register on February 23 and will go into effect on March 25, 2015.
