The rooftop solar power system of Ninh Thuan Power Company
In June of 2017, following the Prime Minister approving a mechanism to encourage the development of solar power projects in Vietnam, the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) carried out a plan to install pilot rooftop solar systems, at first, on the office buildings of EVN and then for the customers outside EVN.
Implementing the EVN policy, at the end of 2017, with the approval of the Southern Power Corporation (EVN SPC), Ninh Thuan Power Company invested in the rooftop solar power system with a capacity of 100 kW on an area of 626 m2 of PC operation building.
The efficiency of the rooftop system is that in recent two months Ninh Thuan PC bought from system with reducing amount of 16,870 kWh, contributing to reduce business–production costs for the PC.
