Khanh hoa has supplemented 9 solar power projects to the National PDP

 - The Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just announced to supplement the nine solar power projects to the National Power Development Planning in 2011-2020 period with a vision to 2030.

These projects invested by 9 different companies with a total investment level of 13,020 billion VND occupies on an area of 751.1 ha in Cam Thinh, Cam An Bac, Cam Thinh Dong, Cam Thinh Tay, Van Hung communes and Ninh Hoa town.

Besides, Khanh Hoa PPC also announced 20 sites for studying investment in solar power projects which are submitted for supplementing to the planning and 9 sites  not yet submitted for planning (including 6 sites that no any investor to propose).

According to regulations, Investors which register to implement the project can apply document to the Department of Planning and Investment of Khanh Hoa province within 30 days since the information announce.

Previously, 5 solar power projects with a capital of thousand billion VND from private investors were approved by Khanh Hoa PPC.

Khanh Hoa is a province in the south central coast with an area of 5,000 km2 (including islands and archipelagos), temperate climate with two distinct rainy (in October and November) and sunny seasons (in the rest months).

Khanh Hoa has 2600 sunny hours per year with the annual average temperature of 26.7oC and the intensity of solar radiation of 5kWh/m2 per day. Particularly, in Cam Ranh - the most favorable area for developing solar power projects, intensity of solar radiation achieves up to 5.34kWh/m2 per day.

According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Industry and Trade, there are in province more than 7,500 ha, mainly in Cam Ran town, Cam Lam, Van Ninh districts which can be used for developing solar power projects with a total capacity of 3000 MW.
