EVN announcing the purchase price of rooftop solar power projects in 2024

Based on the central exchange rate of Vietnam Dong to US Dollar announced by the State Bank of Vietnam in Notice No. 409/TB-NHNN dated December 29, 2023, applicable to the last day of 2023 is: 01 USD = 23,866 VND, EVN announced the purchase price of electricity from rooftop solar power systems in 2024 as follows:

1. For rooftop solar power systems that generate electricity and had the meter reading from the period June 1, 2017 to June 30, 2019: the Electricity purchase price (excluding value-added tax) in 2024 would be 2,231 VND/kWh, equivalent to 9.35 US cents/kWh.

2. For rooftop solar power systems that generate electricity and had meter readings in the period from July 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020: the Electricity purchase price (excluding value-added tax) in 2024 would be 1,999 VND/kWh, equivalent to 8.38 US cents/kWh.

Last year, the purchase price of rooftop solar power was announced by EVN as follows:

1. For the rooftop solar power projects with power generation operation date and meter reading confirmation before July 1, 2019: the Electricity purchase price in 2023 was 2,207 VND/kWh (excluding tax added value), equivalent to 9.35 US cents/kWh.

2. For rooftop solar power systems, with the time of electricity generation and having the meter reading in the period from July 1, 2019, to December 31, 2020: The electricity purchase price in 2023 was 1,978 VND/kWh (excluding tax-added value tax), equivalent to 8.38 US cents/kWh.
