Negotiating prices of the transitional wind and solar power projects up to July 26

Up to the morning of July 26, 2023, there is 17/part of the plants of transitional RE with a total capacity of 832.92 MW that has completed the procedure for recognizing commercial operation (COD) and commercial generation to the power grid. The cumulative electricity generation output of transitional renewable energy projects from the time of COD to July 24, 2023 was about 165.5 million kWh with an average daily output of about 3.2 million kWh, accounting for about 0.4% of the total mobilized power output.
Up to now, there are 72/85 transitional RE projects with a total capacity of 3931.86 MW that sent documents to EVN Electricity Power Trading Company for negotiating electricity prices and signing contracts. Which, there are 60 projects with a total capacity of 3331.41 MW that proposed temporary prices equal to 50% of celling price of the price framework according to Decision No 21/QĐ-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade dated July 01, 2023.
Currently, EVN and the investors have completed price negotiations and initialed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with 58/60 projects, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved temporary prices for 58 projects, with a total capacity of 3,181.41 MW.
Up to now, there have been 21 projects approved by competent state management agencies the right to take over the projects/parts of the projects, 29 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the whole plant/part of the plant and 37 projects have had decisions to extend the investment policy. However, there are still 13 projects with a total capacity of 802.70 MW that have not been submitted for negotiation.
