Publishing the Decision on appointing Member of the Member Council, General Director of PVN

The ceremony on publishing the Decision to appoint the Member of the Member Council, General Director of PVN for Mr. Nguyen Vu Truong Son.

Speaking at the Installation, PVN General Director Nguyen Vu Truong Son promised to unite with the leaders and employees of the group for developing PVN worthy an economic backbone group of the country.

On new position,  General Director Nguyen Vu Truong Son has proposed a following number of key solutions:

Firstly, to focus solutions on building strategy for human resources development.

Secondly, to take the solution on business restructure and  management, continue to improve the organizational and administrative models in a neat and effective streamlining  direction and apply administrative modes in accordance with the international standards.

Thirdly, regarding the solution on capital source, it is to maintain the investment plans for focusing projects up to 2020; immediately to balance cash flow and capital mobilizing plan for timely dealing with the low level of oil prices.

Fourthly, to have the solution on investment administration with a main arm to maximally save investment costs for projects and works and check the investment activities with a focus and main point.

Fifthly, regarding to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands, PVN will initiatively coordinate with concerning ministries, agencies and localities to carry out petroleum activities associated with the protection of maritime sovereignty; create favorable conditions for foreign investors to maintain their presence and implement petroleum activities in allowed areas.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Cao Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade (MoIT) handed the Decision to appoint the Member of PVN Member Council and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Chairman of PVN Member Council handed Decision to appoint PVN General Director to Mr. Nguyen Vu Truong Son.

Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung expressed confidence, that Mr. Nguyen Vu Truong Son will promote his ability and  experience and together with the leaders and employees of PVN to overcome difficulties and challenges, continue developing the Oil and Gas industry worthy a key  economic group of the country.

On this occasion, the PVN Chairman Nguyen Quoc Khanh also appealed to all the employees of the Group for unity and joint effort to complete all the tasks assigned by the Party and Government and make PVN sustainably developed.
