Approving project on greenhouse gas emission mitigation

The goal of the project to support the Project Implementation Organization and CTF Representative Office in Vietnam to effectively implement the solutions for greenhouse gas emission mitigation in energy and transport sectors.
The project includes 3 components: i) strengthen monitoring, reporting and verifying (MRV) activities for the projects financed by CTF ii) build introductions for greenhouse gas emission mitigation in energy and transportation sectors and iii) strengthen MRV capabilities for implementing and regulating projects on greenhouse gas emission mitigation in energy and transportation sectors.
The project managed by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will be implemented within 3 years since the project approval date.
Total fund of the project is US$1,052,000 including US$ 952,000 ODA and US$100,000 corresponding fund
Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the State Bank of Vietnam and other related Agencies to deploy the next steps in accordance with current regulations.
