The welcoming ceremony for the first gas flow from Sao Vang field to Nam Con Son 2 pipeline

 - On November 16, 2020, at the incoming gas intake in Long Hai town, Long Dien district, Baria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) held the welcoming ceremony to accept the first gas inflow from Sao Vang field in the Sao Vang - Dai Nguyet gas project to Nam Con Son 2 pipeline.

The welcoming ceremony to start accepting  the first gas flow from Sao Vang - Dai Nguyet field to Nam Con Son 2 pipeline.

Sao Vang – Dai Nguyen (05-1b and 05-1c) having a promise role for developing Nam Con Son 2 project chain as one of the key projects of PV GAS locates in off-shore area with a water depth of 110-130 m (with high temperature and pressure) of Nam Con Son basin on shelf of Vietnam, in 300 km to Southeast from Vung Tau sea coast 

The participates in Petroleum Share Contract   of 05-1B and 05-1C lots include Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd as the Operator with a rate of 43.08%; Teikoku Oil (Con Son) Co. Ltd – 36.92% and PVN – 20%.

Nam Con Son 2 project chain including the adjusted Nam Con Son 2 and Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet pipelines developed by PV GAS investor for collecting, transmitting and treating gas from Su Tu Trang, Sao Vang, Dai Nguyet, Thien Ung, Dai Hung fields, and  standing by Bach Ho – Dinh Co pipeline.

With an average generation of 1.5 billion m3 of gas,  2.8 million barrels of oil and condensate,  Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet field will

contribute a significant income to the state budget, national economy, ensuring gas supply for power generation and other customers in south-east area.

On this occasion, PVN and PV GAS expressed thanks to EPC contractors for timely completing the projects to accept the first gas follow from Sao Vang field.

PVN committed to continuously direct and support PV GAS in project operating stage with ensuring safe and efficient purposes. PVN  had confidence that Nam Con Son 2, Sao Vang Dai Nguyet pipelines will contribute to supplementing new gas source for high increasing energy demand in economic development of the country.
