PetroVietnam to facilitate the US investment in Vietnam

The working meeting between PVN and Delegation of Assistants of US Senators (MECEA 2015) in Hanoi.

The above sentence was anounced by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, the General Director of PetroVietnam at a working meeting with the Delegation of Assistants of US Senators (MECEA 2015) in Hanoi.

Mr. Khanh also expressed, the US companies are always the important partners in the collaborative activities of PetroVietnam. Therefore, PetroVietnam wishes both sides to maintain the cooperation in developing the key fields of PetroVietnam, promote the current cooperative projects with  ExxonMobil, Murphy, GE and prepare the abilities for following cooperation in Vietnam, USA and the third country in future.

PVN will create the favorable conditions for US companies to participate in petroleum and power projects  (including items from exploration, exploitation, operation, equipment bidding, consultative and technical  services to capital arrangement …) in Vietnam.

Besides, PVN also encourages US enterprises cooperate in training, technology transfer, renewable energy and insurance…

US Delegation high assessed cooperation between Vietnam and US in general aspect and in petroleum energy sector as well. US Delegation also expressed the concern to: oil refinery and petrochemical area for meeting the domestic need of petroleum products of Vietnam, energy security and energy environment issues, market policies, using and maximally bringing into play the resources, and social security work…   Both sides also exchanged the abilities and cooperation in future.

At the end of the meeting, the US Delegation affirmed to pay attention to the suggestions of PVN leaders to report to US Government and Congress for studying, considering, creating favorable and actual conditions to promote the cooperative projects, especially the policy complicated projects.
