PVN supports poor students to school

Mr. Ho Trong Thoan, Chairman of PV Drilling Union give 1.5 bgillions for Vietnam Study Promotion Association

Attending the program were Mr. Uong Chu Luu - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cam - former Politburo member, former Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Vietnam Study Encouragement Association and leaders of Central Vietnam Study Encouragement Association.

In the program, hundreds of scholarships, each worth 10 million dong, 2 heart surgeries worth 150 million dong, tens of saving books, and hundreds of million dong for drugs, books, pens, clothes, footwear and school supplies... have been awarded to the children in difficult circumstances and the children at remote areas to welcome the new academic year 2013-2014.

Many businesses, philanthropists at the program contributed 7 billion dong to Central Vietnam Study Encouragement Association for implementation of the programs to help studious poor students. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu and Chairman of Vietnam Study Encouragement Association Nguyen Manh Cam awarded flowers and Certificates of Merit to the units that have supportedVietnam Study Encouragement Association.

True to the name of the program "light your hope, crossing lakes and rivers to find words”, in the coming time, a bridge at Khe Ban Hamlet, Quang Hop Commune, Quang Trach District, Quang Binh Province, worth 1.5 billion dong will be funded by PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling)

“Light your hope” Scholarship Foundation of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group has awarded scholarships worth 4 billion dong and at the program awarded to the first 20 students with scholarships of the Foundation for academic year 2013 - 2014.
