Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dang Thanh Hai - Group General Director emphasized that In 2023, in difficult conditions, to face many new challenges, must increase output to meet coal demand for electricity generation to increase dramatically while resource conditions naturally decline and were limited by mining licenses, but with the tradition of "Discipline and conscientiousness" of the miners, the main indicators of the group production and business all met and exceeded the yearly plan and grew high compared to 2022.

Although there were still many difficulties and challenges, in 2023, the Group's coal output supplied for electricity production reached the highest ever, increasing by 4.8 million tons compared to the same period in 2022; The Group's total turnover reached 170.85 trillion VND, reaching 101.2% of the plan; profit estimated at 7.8 trillion VND, an increase of 2.8 trillion VND compared to the plan; The profit estimated at 7.8 trillion VND, an increase of 2.8 trillion VND compared to the plan; the payment to State budget reached nearly 29 trillion VND, an increase of 43% compared to plan and this was the Group's record high state budget payment year since the Group establishment.

The average salary of a kiln worker alone was 24 million VND/person/month, of which more than 9,000 kilns with an income of more than 300 million/year.

Especially during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, Vinacomin organized the program "Miners' New Year 2024" in 6 regions from Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen to the Central Highlands; Supported more than 2,400 cases in difficult circumstances with a total value of nearly 4,840 billion VND; arrange cars to take workers and relatives back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and welcome workers back to work after the Tet holiday...

Promoting the achieved results, in 2024, Vinacomin will strive to produce and sell 50 million tons of coal and export 1.4 million tons, import 14.3 million tons and for electricity generation output 10.5 billion kWh.

The Group's total turnover will reach 175.1 trillion VND; and pay to the State budget as 25.5 trillion VND.

In addition, Vinacomin will ensure enough jobs and enough human resources to serve production according to the business's labor requirements; ensure labor safety and hygiene, improve working conditions and wages and income for workers; strive to ensure the average salary of workers across the Group will reach more than 17 million VND/person/month.

At the conference, the Chairman of the Vinacomin Trade Union Le Thanh Xuan reported on the results of organizing the conference of workers at all levels in 2024 and a summary report of the unit's recommendations.

At the same time, the General Director of the Group Dang Thanh Hai answered the workers' recommendations.

Recognizing and praising the efforts of the entire Group's staff and workers who had completed plans and tasks for 2023, typically 10 units were praised at the conference, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan, the Vinacomin Group Party Secretary and Chairman emphasized that Vinacomin had overcome difficulties and challenges, ensured enough coal for the economy, especially coal for electricity production according to the direction of the Government; Income and living standards of workers had been raised, especially workers were looked after to welcome the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin fully, joyfully and warmly.

On behalf of the Party Committee, Council of Members, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman Ngo Hoang Ngan proposed that in 2024, the Group's executive agency and units will coordinate closely with trade unions at all levels to well implement the planning task and focus on improving working conditions and working environment, building housing suitable to the production and living conditions of workers so that they can rest and regenerate their labor power. Take good care of workers' lives to attract and retain workers.

Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan especially noted that expertise and trade unions at all levels focus on good implementation of occupational safety and hygiene, minimizing labor accidents and incidents.

At the same time, propaganda creates consensus and effectively implements the Group's restructuring; Strengthen solidarity and unity in leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, and coordination between the Vinacomin Party Committee and Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee, and Vinacomin Trade Union.

It is recommended that officials and workers strictly observe labor discipline, comply with management, technical processes, and safety measures, produce productively and effectively, and strive for labor productivity (increasing labor productivity from 5 - 7%).

Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan also requested professional agencies and trade unions at all levels to receive and satisfactorily resolve the workers' recommendations.

Mr. Ngan promoted propaganda and implementation of the emulation movement to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 10/10 establishment of Vinacomin Group (1994 - 2024) and hoped that each delegate attending the conference would fully absorb and convey the contents and essence of the Group, spirit of the conference, actively emulating labor production and complete assigned tasks well.

Believing that, with the results and achievements achieved, promoting the tradition of "Discipline and Consistency", and implementing the goal of "Safety - Solidarity - Development - Efficiency", Vinacomin will complete, comprehensive plans and tasks for 2024.

The conference elected the People's Inspection Committee of Vinacomin and signed the Collective Labor Agreement (period 2024 - 2027).

The conference reported the results of implementing the "Enterprises for Workers" emulation movement in 2023, announced rankings and honored the 10 most excellent units in the emulation movement.
