TKV Chairman of the Members’ Council Works with Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o (Poland)

During the meeting, Mr. Tomasz Budniok, Chairman of Becker - Warkop Sp.zo.o (Republic of Poland), introduced the company's development process and production areas in mining equipment manufacturing.

Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o is a member of the Becker Mining Group, headquartered in the Federal Republic of Germany. The company specializes in technological solutions and mining equipment and has been operating for 25 years in the production of transportation systems, mechanization systems, and equipment for the mining and industrial sectors.
Several products from Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o are widely used in underground mines, such as monorail transportation systems, suspended rail transport systems, floor-mounted rail transport systems, and self-propelled support systems. These products have been exported to many countries worldwide, including China, Turkey, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Iran.
Mr. Tomasz Budniok expressed his desire to collaborate with TKV and its affiliated units in research activities, technology transfer, and the supply of new underground transportation systems for personnel and materials. Specifically, he introduced battery-powered locomotive systems as a replacement for diesel engines, aiming to improve economic efficiency in coal mining and production.
The Chairman of TKV’s Members’ Council highly appreciated the equipment from Becker - Warkop Sp.zo.o that TKV is currently using, as it has contributed to promoting mechanization in production and enhancing business efficiency.
Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan stated that TKV is currently operating 39 monorail systems and two hoisting systems manufactured by Becker - Warkop Sp.zo.o. The existing monorail systems belong to an earlier generation, all of which utilize diesel-powered locomotives.
It is known that Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o has researched and developed battery-powered locomotives as a replacement for diesel engines. During operation, these battery-powered locomotives produce no noise or emissions, have lower maintenance and servicing costs, and contribute to improving the working environment and conditions for workers while being environmentally friendly.
Therefore, TKV wishes to collaborate with Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o in supplying monorail systems for transporting personnel and equipment underground using battery-powered locomotives, replacing the existing diesel-powered locomotives. This cooperation will be carried out by regulations on open bidding and fair competition.
Mr. Tomasz Budniok, Chairman of Becker - Warkop Sp.zo.o, expressed his sincere gratitude for TKV's cooperation over the years. He emphasized that as part of the company’s development strategy, Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o will collaborate with Au Viet Company to transfer technology and manufacture equipment in Vietnam. This initiative aims to reduce costs and ensure a stable supply of equipment for TKV. The company is also ready to cooperate with TKV by initially providing two battery-powered locomotives for a one-year trial period free of charge for evaluation.
The Chairman of TKV’s Members’ Council expressed his appreciation for Becker - Warkop Sp.zo.o's plan to transfer technology and manufacture equipment in Vietnam, as this will help lower costs while maintaining quality and enhancing competitiveness. He also requested that Becker-Warkop Sp.zo.o conduct thorough research and field surveys to develop products that are suitable and effective for TKV.
