Phuong Mai 1 wind power farm has been recognized for commercial operation

According to Official Letter No: 6050/EPTC-KDMD of the Electricity Power Trading Company (EVNEPTC) under the Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN), on October 12, 2021, 10 among 11 wind turbines with a capacity of 24 MW including TW01 – TW 10 of Phuong Mai 1 wind farm have been put into COD. One wind power turbine with a capacity of 2.4 MW expects to be into COD on October 22, 2021.

Phuong Mai 1 wind power farm

Phuong Mai Wind Power Farm 1 with a total capacity of 26.4 MW and a total investment level of 1,076 billion VND is a cooperative project between Truong Thanh Investment Construction and Development Joint Stock Company and Phuong Mai Wind Power Joint Stock Company.

Phuong Mai 1 Wind Power Farm is put into COD in the situation, that there are many other wind power enterprises focusing all the investment resources on the wind power projects in order to put them into COD before October 31, 2021 for inheriting preferential prices as 8.5 cent/kWh for onshore wind power and 9.8 cent/kWh for offshore wind power projects in accordance with Decision No 39/2018/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Phuong Mai 1 wind power project is one of the first seven projects such as Hoa Binh 1 - phase 2 (42.2 MW); Ninh Thuan No5 (46.2 MW); Dong Hai 1 - phase 2 (50 MW); Ea Nam (12.6 MW); BIM (88 MW); and Thuan Nam 7A (50 MW) among 106 wind power projects applying to be tested for COD recognition.
