China Electric Power Group and EVN discussed cooperation on energy transition

The delegation of China Electric Power Group works at the Electricity of Vietnam headquarters

Exchanged at the meeting, the CHD Deputy General introduced the development process of this Group. China Electric Power Group is one of Five the largest enterprises in China HD is one of the five largest power generation enterprises in China with main activities as power generation, coal production, providing electrical technical solutions and new energy research.

In Vietnam, China Electric Power through its affiliated unit China Electric Power Construction Company (CHED) invests and manages and operates power projects such as the Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant, and Dak Lak wind power project.

Currently, CHD has also completed research and application of energy transition technology such as burning coal and biomass, and ammonia, as well as producing green hydrogen fuel. In the coming time, CHD hopes to expand cooperation with EVN to develop the green energy market in the context of the global energy transition.

EVN Chairman Dang Hoang An respectfully thanked and highly appreciated the good relationship between EVN and CHD in recent times and wished to continuously expand cooperation with CHD in the field of new energy such as offshore, solar power energy, pumped storage hydropower, green hydrogen production...

Besides, EVN hopes to receive support and experience share of CHD in the energy transition technology and improve coal-fired power plant efficiency to reduce carbon emissions...

At the meeting, the two sides also spent time exchanging and discussing in detail relevant contents such as the structure of Vietnam's electricity system, cooperation in the management and operation of coal-fired power plants, green hydrogen production, and energy transition.
