EVN power generation costs increase due to high input fuel prices

According to statistics, the fuel price, especially coal price, in July and the first 20 days of August 2021 is very much higher in comparison with the average price in the first 6 months of 2921.
In concrete: The imported coal average price in July/2021 increased by 17.5% over the average data in June 2021, by 51.8% over the average data in the first 6 months of 2021, and by 250% over the average data in 2020 (the average coal price increased from 98.8 USD/ton in the first 6 months of 2021 to 150 USD/ton in July 2021 and 159.7 USD/ton in the first 10 days of August/ 2021).
The average HFSO oil price in July increased by 23% over the average data in the first 6 months of 2021 and by 68.3% over the average data in 2020.

The average fuel prices, especially coal price in July 2021 and the first 20 days of August 2021 is very much higher than the average price in the first 6 months of 2021.
Along with the increase of average fuel price, the unfavorable hydrological situation on reservoirs of the hydropower plants (HPPs) in the Northern region (at present - the end of August as usually the end of the main flood season but there are no floods coming to HPP reservoirs), also leads to the difficult financial status of EVN in 2021.
Up to now, developing the fuel prices in the world shows an increasing trend in July, August, and it should be very difficult to forecast the fuel prices in the end months of 2021.
