Gazprom would like to develop more the new oil and gas projects in Vietnam

At the meeting, the DPM affirmed that the traditional and friendly relationship and strategic partnership between Vietnam  and Russia is developing very well in many fields, especially in economic, trade cooperation and in dynamical, effective development investment

The two sides maintain the mechanism of the Intergovernmental Committee on economic, trade and scientific and technical cooperation headed by a Deputy Prime Minister with the annual sessions.

At the present, Russia ranks 23rd place among the countries and territories investing in Vietnam with 116 projects. In Vietnam Russia invests  mainly in oil and gas field, industry, manufacture, mining, transportation and telecommunications ..., while Vietnam has 22 investment projects in Russia with a total capital of nearly 3 billion USD.

DPM Trinh Dinh Dung high appreciated the investment projects in Vietnam from Gazprom and asked the group to continue to closely coordinate with Vietnamese ministries, branches and partners in applying science and technology, management innovation to reduce costs and improve investment efficiency.

DPM affirmed that the Government of Vietnam always encourages international investors in Vietnam, including Russian ones.

Thanks to the DPM for receiving, Mr. Vitaly Markelov, Vice Chairman of Gazprom Management Board said, the projects ò Gazprom in Vietnam have made an important contribution to the development of the Group.   Today, Gazprom is cooperating closely with Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and its Vietnamese partners to implement oil exploitation projects. He also said that, in coming time Gazprom would like to develop more the new investment projects in Vietnam in the oil and gas field relating activities from exploration, exploitation, transportation to processing and trading  products.DPM asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to closely coordinate, guide and create favorable conditions for implementing projects with the highest efficiency.   VietnamEnergy.vn
