Powering the project for increasing transmission capacity of 220 kV Cu Chi – Trang Bang line

In order to increase the power capacity for Cu Chi District (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Western provinces, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) as the investor to implement the project for increasing transmission capacity of 220kV Thot Not - Long Xuyen - Chau Doc and Cu Chi - Trang Bang lines.

In order to complete the project in time, EVNNPT assigned SPMB to manage the project; the Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PEEC2) to design the project; the Power joint stock company to supervise construction; the Power Construction Joint Stock Company No.1 to construct the project; the Power Transmission Company No. 4 and HCM City Company for managing high voltage power grid to receive, manage and operate the project after its completion.
The project for increasing transmission capacity of 220 kV Cu Chi – Trang Bang line is completed and put into operation.
The project for increasing transmission capacity of 220 kV Cu Chi – Trang Bang line includes: replacing ACSR400/51 aluminum core conductor of the existing 220 kV double-circuit 220 kV line with ACCC421 superheat wire, about 14.5 km long; adding Phlox lightning protection wire 94.1 for the first section from the 220 kV Cu Chi substation about 4 km in length; replacing dis-connectors, current transformers; connecting wires between devices, connecting wires to the line, clamping the device pole, branching clamps of 2 dividing lines 271 and 272 at 220 kV Trang Bang transformer substation.
