Starting up the largest on-shore wind power project in the Mekong Delta

Hoa Binh 5 Wind Power Project (phase 1) with a capacity of 80 MW including 26 turbines by the capacity of 3.0 – 3.3 – 4.2 MW each installed on towers with a height of over 140 m in an area of 32 ha. This is a large on-shore wind power project so far in Vietnam, invested by Bac Lieu Hacom Energy Joint Stock Company with a total investment of 3,200 billion VND.
The Hoa Binh 5 project is developed with a purpose to effectively combine electricity generation and aquaculture in Mekong Delta and it will be connected with the national power system through the 220 kV Gia Lai – Bac Lieu transmission line.
The project with an annual average generation of 280 GWh expected to be put into commercial operation in October 2021 will contribute over 80 billion VND to budget of Bac Lieu province and together other wind power projects on Bac Lieu – Camau coastal belt road will create favorable conditions for strong developing tourism in this province.
