Accordingly, the program will support the businesses in Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Duong, Long An and Dong Nai provinces to develop the roof solar power systems as the clean and stable energy sources in the businesses.
The first stage of the Solar Power Development Supporting Program in Southern Vietnam (Solar Hub) with the financial support from the British Wealth Fund will take place up to the March 2017.
The program includes the technical support to establish pre-feasibility report, measure the solar radiation and calculate the economic effect for the roof solar power system. The Solar Hub Project will collect and synthesize data from existing systems to build a database to provide information to state agencies, equipment suppliers, consultants and businesses which like to produce solar power.
Mr. Andrew Holt, a Representative of Wealth Fund, the British Embassy in Ha Noi said: "Wealth Fund of £1.3 billion was started in November, 2015 and Vietnam is one of the first countries to inherit a benefit from the fund".
"I believe that the Solar Hub project will actually influence to promote solar energy in Vietnam and be a demonstration of the development investment in renewable energy sources in general", Mr. Andrew Holt stressed.
