Dong Nai proposed to add 8 solar power projects to the National Power Development Planning

These 8 solar projects have a total capacity of nearly 5,400 MWp developed on an area of over 7.1 thousand ha in Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat districts...and including two projects as Tri An 1&2 with a capacity of 126 MWp, on an area of 176.4ha of the Tri An hydropower plant reservoir surface, submerged, dam roof areas and the natural ground.
Up to now, the MoIT has submitted these projects to the Prime Minister (PM) and the PM has approved to supplement them with its connection plan to the
NPDP.
Besides, there are several private investors which propose to develop the floating solar power projects on Tri An hydropower plant reservoir such as:
-Phuoc An Co., Ltd. (Vinh Phuc province) - for a project with a capacity of 1000 MW on an area of 1,610 ha in the territory of Dinh Quan district.
-THT Technology Consulting and Investment Co., Ltd. (Hanoi) – for a project with a capacity of 1,500 MWp on nearly 1,700 ha in the territory of Dinh Quan district.
-Le Delta Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) – for a project with a capacity of about 1000 MWp on an area of over 1,200 ha in the territory of Vinh Cuu district.
-Nha Trang Bay Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (Khanh Hoa province) – for the projects with a total capacity of 600 MWp on the areas of in some communes of Thong Nhat and Dinh Quan districts,
-The remaining projects with a capacity, each of about 50 MWp or more.
According to Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, the areas of the expected projects have a good potential for solar power development with an average annual sunshine number of over 1,900 hours and a total average horizontal radiation of 5.11kWh/m²/day.
