Pressure test of boiler No 2 of Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant has been successful implemented

Investor, EPC contractor, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), MOIT and PetroVietnam Technical Safety Registration Company Ltd (PVEIC-TSR).
Previously, on August 13, 2016 Lilama already successfully implemented low pressure test of the boiler No2: all the welds and structures of the boiler has met technical parameters when test pressure increasing up to 295 bar(g)/(302kg/cm2).
The successful pressure test of boiler No2 is an important milestone marking the perfection of pressure -mechanical component executing work boiler and the construction progress of the plant.
After the pressure test, Lilama will continue to improve the rest parts of the unit No2 and with a goal to put the whole plant into test operation in the first quarter of 2017 as the planned schedule.
In July 2016, Lilama already implemented successfully the pressure test of boiler No1 with meeting the designed technical parameters.
Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant has a capacity of 1200MW (2x600 MW) and a total investment level of over VND 34,295 billion ($ 1.7 billion). The plant invested by PetroVietnam, will be operated by PVN&EVN combination and use domestic coal of Vinacomin.
