Signing contract for 2 packages of power transmission projects from Laos to Vietnam

One package includes Bo Y 220kV switching substation and 220 kV transmission lines from Nam Kong 1,2,3 hydropower plants (in Laos) to Vietnam power system, another package includes Dak Ooc 220 kV switching substation and 220 kV lines from Southern Emoun Hydropower plant to Vietnam power system.
Bo Y switching substation sitting in Ngoc Hoi district, Kontum province includes 10 220 kV trays with 5 trays for feeders and 1 tray for contact breaker in the first phase.
The 220 kV lines in this package include 6.030 km of a double circuit with 2xACSR 330/43 conductor from Bo Y substation to a 220 kV line connecting with 220 kV Nam Kong 3 transformer substation at Viet – Lao border; 0.807 km of 4 circuits with 2xACSR 400/51 conductor from Xekaman 1 hydropower plant (Laos) to existing 500 kV Pleiku 2; 124 m of 22 kV single circuit with ACX-70 conductor connecting with existing 22 kV line. The items of this package expect to be completed in quarter 4 of 2022.
Another package as Dak Ooc 220 kV switching substation and lines connecting the Southern Emoun hydropower plant with the Vietnam power system is constructed in the Nam Giang district.
Quang Nam province (Vietnam); 13.395 km of 220 kV double circuit line (in phase 1 suspended one circuit) from Southern Emoun hydropower plant to Dak Ooc 220 kV switching substation (the section on Vietnam territory); 1.917 km of 4 circuits from 220kV Dak Ooc switching substation to transited point at the existing 220 kV double circuit line from Xekaman 3 hydropower plant to Thanh My (Vietnam) and 1.077 km of 22 kV line for supplying electricity for construction and self-use source of Dak Ooc substation and for the local distribution network. The items of this package expect to be put into operation in quarter 1 of 2023.
The both above packages are invested by Electricity of Vietnam, managed by Power Project Management Board 2 on behalf the Investor. The surveying, designing works and supporting issues in the progress of bidding evaluation and contract negotiation for the packages should be implemented by the Power Engineering and Consulting Joint Stock Company 4.
