Valmet and Petrovietnam strengthen partnership in technological innovation and energy transition

Enhancing Vietnam – Finland Cooperation in Energy and Technology

As part of the official visit of General Secretary To Lam and his spouse to the Republic of Finland, the delegation from Petrovietnam, led by Chairman of the Board Le Manh Hung, engaged in a series of meetings with major Finnish enterprises. These exchanges aimed to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries, with a particular focus on collaboration in technology and energy.

During the visit, Deputy General Director Phan Tu Giang headed Petrovietnam’s working delegation to Valmet’s headquarters in Helsinki. Valmet, a global leader in advanced automation, energy, environmental, and digital transformation solutions, welcomed the delegation to discuss potential cooperation opportunities and joint initiatives.

The meeting opened new prospects for strategic partnership, reinforcing shared commitments to sustainable development and energy transition in Vietnam.

• Process technology and automation (Valmet DNA)

• Waste-to-Energy (WtE) solutions

• Biomass energy

• Flow control technology

Beyond technical collaboration, the discussion also explored specific cooperation models, including:

• Technology and equipment supply

• Partnerships for integration and service provision

• Performance Agreements to optimize operational efficiency

• Knowledge transfer and high-quality workforce training

These initiatives aim to support Petrovietnam and its subsidiaries in upgrading systems, enhancing digitalization, and optimizing environmental performance.
