Prime Minister agreed to correct the coal-fired thermal power projects in Adjusted Power Planning VII

- Prime Minister has accepted the proposal of Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to correct the coal-fired thermal power projects in Adjusted Power Planning VII by adjusting the capacity of An Khanh project (in Bac Giang province with an old name as Luc Nam) from 100 MW to 650 MW and supplementing an independent project (IPP) of 100 MW (2x50 MW) for electricity supplying Duc Giang Chemical Joint-Stock Company (Lao Cai province) without connection with national power system.
Prime Minister assigns the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Bac Giang and Lao Cai Provincial People's Committees to ask the investors to clarify issues noted by the ministries and sectors and other issues relating the project establishing and approving process, and guide them to carry out the steps for preparing investment and investment in accordance with current regulations on construction investment, quality management and environmental protection.
