CRRC and SEV join forces to accelerate BESS development in Vietnam

Representatives from CRRC and SEV sign a strategic cooperation agreement to promote Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development in Vietnam.

SEV, a trusted EPC contractor in Vietnam’s solar C&I sector, is widely recognized for its strong execution capabilities, deep local market insight, and long-standing partnerships with industrial clients. As Vietnam accelerates its adoption of renewable energy and moves toward new market mechanisms such as the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA), the demand for stable and flexible power solutions is growing rapidly. SEV is ready to meet this demand by expanding into the BESS segment—offering end-to-end project delivery, comprehensive regulatory understanding, and continued onsite support that aligns with factory operations and grid requirements. According to Vietnam’s revised Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8), the country aims to develop between 10,000 MW and 16,300 MW of BESS capacity by 2030 to facilitate renewable energy integration and ensure grid stability. The combination of CRRC’s advanced BESS technology and SEV’s proven execution expertise forms a strong partnership to accelerate this transition. Together, the two companies are well-equipped to deliver high-quality, bankable energy storage projects that empower industrial customers and the national grid to manage intermittency, optimize energy costs, and enhance energy security.
