Largest solar farm in Khanh Hoa province inaugurated

The farm was built at a total cost of VND2.3 trillion (US$98.9 million) with construction and installation undertaken by Hanwha Engineering & Construction Corp from the Republic of Korea and supervised by Germany’s TUV SUD.With a generating capacity of 100 megawatts and covering 135 hectares, it is the largest solar farm in Khanh Hoa province.
Once operational, the plant will provide 158 million kWh a year to the national power grid, meeting the power demand of 5,000 households and reducing annual carbon emissions by 145,000 tonnes.
The project employs the most efficient solar cell technology with one panel having a capacity of 395Wp.
On the occasion, the project owner donated VND1.2 billion (US$51,600) to Khanh Hoa province’s learning encouragement fund and fund for the poor.
