Toyo company proposed EVN to cooperate in producing biomass pellets for electricity generation

 - In Hanoi, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - General Director of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) just had a meeting with Mr. Koshio Katsuhiko - Chairman of Toyo Joint Stock Company (Japan) to discuss possibilities of energy cooperation between the two sides. Specifically, cooperation in producing biomass pellets, combination with coal fuel to generate electricity and provide technical service and fuel for power plants in Vietnam.

Mr. Koshio Katsuhiko - Chairman of Toyo Joint Stock Company (Toyo Group) shared that Toyo Group is an enterprise with experience in implementing many projects in Japan and abroad. The Toyo Group very looks forward to cooperate with EVN in developing energy in the coming time. At the meeting, Toyo Group exchanged the idea of the group in producing biomass pellets in combination with coal fuel to generate electricity and wished to cooperate with EVN power plants.

At the same time, Toyo Group also wishes to cooperate with EVN in such fields as providing technical services on operating the power plants, supplying coal, oil and LNG... for power plants in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan – EVN General Director welcomed the idea of Toyo Group and asked the Tokyo group leadership to study more about the development trend of coal-fired thermal power according to the Power Development Planning VIII and the power plants in Vietnam, the coal fuel sources and the feasibility of the group ideas to ensure efficiency of the Tokyo group in investment to construct power plants in in Vietnam.
