Inaugurating wind power projects No. 5 and 6 in Soc Trang

 - Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee (PPC) in coordination with Vinh Chau Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company and Quoc Vinh Wind Power Company Ltd. held a ceremony for putting Wind Power Projects No 5&6 (WPP No 5&6) into operation.

The Hoa Lac 1 wind power project (WPP No5) was invested by Vinh Chau RE Joint Stock Company – TDC with a total investment level of 2,400 billion VND, divided into 2 phases.

The first phase within an investment of 1,450 billion VND, including 6 wind turbines with a total capacity of 30 MW (6x5 MW), a 22/110 kV transformer substation- 40 MVA and a double circuit electricity line with a length of 9 km connecting the WPP with national power system at two extended feeds of 110 kV Vinh Chau transformer substation.

The project powered on October 31, 2021, to really welcome the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Soc province.

In Thanh My hamlet, Vinh Hai commune, Vinh Chau town, the Soc Trang Quoc Vinh Wind Power Company Ltd. also held a ceremony for inaugurating the Soc Trang Quoc Vinh wind Power project (WPP No 6). WPP No 6 with an investment of 1,420 billion VND, a capacity of 30 MW (6x5 MW).

These projects have been completed in plan contributed to the creation of the jobs and promoting the socio-economic and clean energy development for Vinh Chau town and Soc Trang province.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of 2 wind power plants, Mr. Vuong Quoc Nam – Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated and praised the efforts of the investors, contractors, and provincial departments… and the active cooperation of the Party Committees, authorities, unions and people of Vinh Chau town which contributed to the process of constructing and completing the wind power plants. Mr. Nam asked the investors to organize the management, exploitation and operation of WPPs in stabilization and efficiency.
