Coal trade of Vinacomin has exceeded the year plan

Accounting up to the end of November, 2018 Vinacomin has sold 37.39 million tons of coal equal to 103.9% of the year plan and increased 17%, of which for Power customer increased 26%, for Nitrogenous fertilizer – 20% and for Cement customer – 21% in comparison with coal amount sold in the same time of 2017.

Vinacomin informed that in November 2018, coal demand of thermal power, fertilizer, cement plants continued to increase at a high level, so the corporation directed its member units to promote the rate of production, actively process the types of coal to meet market demand.

So, in 11 months of 2018, Vinacomin produced 33.79 million of crude coal equal to 95.6% of the year plan and 104 % in comparison with the amount produced in the same time of last year. The clean coal amount was 32.63 tons, import coal was 417 thousand tons.  

The other productions of Vinacomin in 11 months of 2018 also increased in comparison with the productions in the same time of the last year as: alumina – 1.19 million tons, 116%, sold 1.21 million tons equal to 98% of the year plan and increased 27%; copper planks produced 10,641 tons, sold 9,889 tons; zink bars produced 10,238 tons; steel billets produced 170,570 tons; electricity generation - 8.44 billion kWh.

In addition, Co Dinh Chlorite Factory has restarted and produced 200 tons of quality ferocom products.

The turnover of Vinacomin in 11 months of 2018 is 112,889 billion VND increasing 14% in comparison with turnover in the same time of the last year.

In December, 2018, Vinacomin expects to produce: 3 million tons of crude coal, sell 3 million of coal; produce 112,000 tons of alumina, 4,000 tons of pure copper ore, 1000 tons of copper planks; 900 tons of ; zink bars ; 12,000 tons of pure steel ore; 850 million kWh; produce 5000 tons and supply 8000 tons of dynamite; produce and sell 12,500 tons of ammonium nitrate.

It is expected that in 2018, Vinacomin will sell 40 million tons, increasing 4 million tons compared to the year plan and 4.4 million tons more than the same period in 2017. Of which, electricity consumption is 29 million up to 5.4 million tons compared with 2017 (this is equivalent to the output of three coal mines, which require about 5,000 miners for exploiting).
