KCP – Phu Yen Biomass Power Plant is officially synchronized with the National System

Construction of KCP – Phu Yen Biogas Power Plant was started in Son Hoa district, Phu Yen province from 2015 when KCP sugar factory capacity was upgraded to 8,000 tons of sugarcane per day.
For effectively using a large amount of the bagasse, KCP Industrial Company Ltd. was determined to build a biomass power plant with a total capacity of 60 MW with an investment capital of nearly VND 1,300 billion. The first phase of the plant with a capacity of 30MW and output of over 70 million kWh has been completed and synchronized with National Power System
At the present, Vietnam KCP Industrial Co., Ltd. is continuing to implement the second stage with upgrading the capacity of the sugar factory to 10,000 tons sugarcane per day and capacity of power plant to 60 MW.
As well known, biomass electricity is considered more environmentally friendly than hydraulic and thermal one.
The KCP - Phu Yen Biomass Power Plant when coming into commercial operation will contribute to socio-economic development in Phu Yen province, increase revenue for enterprise and income for sugarcane growers.
