Vinacomin removes difficulties for the opencast coal production units

 - On the morning of September 8, at Deo Nai Coal Joint Stock Company, General Director of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) Dang Thanh Hai chaired a meeting with the Vinacomin opencast coal mining units.

At the meeting, leaders of Coal Joint Stock Company Deo Nai, Coc Sau, Cao Son, Ha Tu reported on the situation of production and business in the first 8 months of 2022, difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing plans and tasks.

Vinacomin General Director Dang Thanh Hai directed units to focus on completing the 2022 plan targets and preparing plan for the 2023.

In the 8 months of 2022, the units faced many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the first months of the year there was a lot of the coal workers infected with Covid-19 affected the human resources to respond for production. The prices of the raw material and fuel increased, the mining conditions of the mines were getting deeper, the transportation roads are large; The weather developed irregularly, with a lot of rain.

According to statistics, the number of rainy days and the rain flow increased in comparison with the same period in 2021…

Under the close direction of the Group leaders, the units made the great efforts to boost production and implemented the emulation movement "High Work Day - High Output - High Income", especially increasing output to meet the coal selling and striving to fulfill the targets of production and business plan.

Results of the implementing key targets in the first 8 months of the year as: Deo Nai Coal Joint Stock Company reached 76% of the plan, coal selling with 74% of the plan, the turnover reached 72% of the plan, the average salary reached nearly 11 ,5 million VND/person-month…;

Company has promoted computerization, automation in management and production, implementing online order of the day; at present, the company has 11 construction sites and workshops, reducing 1 workshop compared to the sample model; Maintaining good implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control, organized the 4th injection of Covid-19 prevention for 1,713 employees…

Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company produced 79.72% of the year plan, sold 84.7% of the plan, the turnover reached 82.8% of the plan, the average salary reached VND 11.8 million/person-month …

Coc Sau Coal Joint Stock Company: Coal production reached 50% of the annual plan, the turnover reached nearly 60% of the plan, the average salary reached 9.2 million VND/person-month...

Ha Tu Coal Joint Stock Company: Coal production reached 67% of the year plan, coal selling reached 69% of the plan, the tủnover reached 70% of the plan, the average salary reached nearly 11 million VND/person-month…

The units also proposed to the Group a number of contents to remove difficulties in selling coal types, fuel norms, transportation unit prices, waste disposal, etc.

After listening to the reporting units and the opinions of the specialized committees and leaders of the Group, in concluding remarks, the Group's General Director Dang Thanh Hai emphasized, this is an important conference to solve the difficulties for opencast coal producers, the Group's General Director acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of units in production, contributing to the Group's overall results in the first 8 months of 2022 and shared the difficulties of the units in recent time, especially Coal Coc Sau Joint Stock Company.

The General Director proposed the Executive Board and specialized departments of the Group to highly focus on solving problems and difficulties for the units.

The member council of Vinacomin proposed individually for removing difficulties with the project to implement restructure for the Coal Coc Sau Joint Stock Company.

The Group's General Director directed, that immediately, the units focus on completing the targets of the plan in 2022; ensure "Safety - Security - Welfare" and prepare for the 2023 plan; review legal procedures related to mining and planning activities to ensure compliance with legal regulations; strictly follow the Group's direction in outsourcing work; proactive in dumping waste; getting ready for the restructuring of the mines.

For long-term jobs, review the 5-year plan, based on that, make a more complete and detailed plan. At the same time, special attention should be paid to the units that focus on doing well in environmental protection, making efforts to overcome difficulties, ensuring the completion of the planned targets in the third quarter as well as the whole year of 2022.
