Uong Bi has received the first tons of coal from the Bac Dong Vong project

Vinacomin General Director has awarded Uong Bi coal company 50 million VND for the achievement in constructing a trans-seam pit line at the +131 level for connecting Ha My (Tan Dan) and Dong Vong areas that brings high productive efficiency (Photo: Vinacomin).

Uong Bi company is now managing two coal development investment project as the project for extending capacity of Dong Vong even pit coal mine to a design capacity of 600 thousand tons/year with the productive plan of 413 thousand tons in 2016 and pit digging of 6,500m, and the project for extending capacity of Tan Dan coal mine to 500 thousand tons/year with the productive plan of 281 thousand tons in 2016 and pit digging of 3,200m.

In process of deploying these projects, Uong Bi company brought into initiative to construct a pit line system at the +131 level for connecting two projects in Dong Vong and Tan Dan areas.

The connection between the projects has an important significance as to bring the great social, economical and technical efficiency due to the interconnection between two areas by transportation, ventilation and drainage  systems;  productive activities management of the company more concentrated and favorable; creating more jobs and improving working condition for labors…Especially, the reduction of coal transportation distance from 21.6 km on the ground to 4.2 km in the pit line to avoid resource, property losses; guarantee security, order and contribute in environmental protection has a very important significance.

On this occasion, the General Director Mr. Dang Thanh Hai, Leaders of Vinacomin and Uong Bi company have checked production at the premises of the two projects and witnessed  the first tons of coal transported through the oven connected Tan Dan and Dong Vong areas.
