PVN and Corio Generation discussed cooperation on offshore wind power development in Vietnam

At the meeting, Mr. Jonathan Cole introduced about activities of Corio over the World. At present, Corio Generation owns over 15 GW in both traditional and renewable energy markets.

Especially, the team of experts of Corio has experience in implementing offshore wind power projects (from construction, development, management and operation). Corio is currently continuing to develop the investment portfolio of Green Investment Group (The Australian Macquarie Financial Group) in Europe, Taiwan, Korea and Australia.

In Vietnam, Corio Generation is currently cooperating with FECON Group to develop an offshore wind power project with a capacity of 500 MW in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

In the proposal to cooperate with PVN, Corio commits to coordinate and support local economies, and at the same time meet the energy needs of the community and businesses in a sustainable, reliable and safe and responsible way.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong welcomed Corio Generation and was generally Informed on the activities and the development strategy of PVN in the coming years. Mr. Vuong emphasized that besides developing the core fields, PVN is very much interesting and pays attention to developing renewable energy projects including offshore wind power projects.

According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, PVN and its member units such as Vietsovpetro, and PTSC ... with a very good financial potential have experience in participating in offshore wind power projects. Through this working meeting, PVN wishes to receive attention, support, and experience sharing from Corio Generation and believes that in the near future the two sides will cooperate in developing offshore wind power projects, in particular, as well as renewable energy in general.
