Thailand companies would like to invest the wind power projects in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone

According to Vietnam Investment Review (VIR), Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) informed: Binh Dinh province is promoting to attract investment from foreign companies, especially companies in ASEAN.
According to Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, the infrastructure in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone has been invested perfectly. Nhon Hoi Economic zone is very close to the sea and there is wind with an annual average speed quite enough for developing wind power projects.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung emphasizes, that the investment projects in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone will inherit special preferential policies, so when Thailand EGAT International to develop wind power projects in this zone, Binh Dinh PPC will create favorable conditions for the investor to carry out projects as soon as possible.
Mr. Pakorn Snguansuppayakorn – Deputy General Director of Thailand EGAT International Co., Ltd said: his company is a subsidiary of Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand (EGAT) currently responsible for power energy investment and trade in the Asia area, especially in Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar. In Vietnam, EGAT International is investing BOT Quang Tri 1 Coal-fired Thermal Power Plant Project with a 1,200MW capacity.
B.Grimm Power Company is also a company of Thai Lan strongly operated for a longtime in power sector in Thailan. Currently, B. Grimm Power is the investor of an existing power plant in Amata Industrial Park, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province, that is providing electrical energy for the whole industrial production zone.
After meeting with provincial leaders, EGAT International and B.Grimm Power will carry out survey and feasibility study for the wind power projects in Binh Dinh.
