Promoting coal production to meet market demand

At the Conference, according to the reports, in the first two months of 2022, the situation of Covid-19 pandemic happened complicatedly, the number of people infected with Covid-19 increased along with the long Lunar New Year break and rainy weather led to a shortage of labor, especially underground workers that seriously affected coal production.
However, with synchronous measures, adaptive, flexible and effective disease control and vaccination against Covid-19 for all employees in the Group, along with the close direction of the corporation leaders, the efforts of the units, the Vinacomin promoted the production and strived to complete the plan in the first days and months of the year.
In the first two months of the year, Vinacomin exploited coal production of 6.43 million tons, equaling 16.4% of the year plan. The Group expects to produce 4 million tons of coal in March/2022 and 10.45 million tons in the first quarter of 2022, equal to 26.8 % of the year plan, 25.5 % of the planned target and 105 % in comparison with coal production in the same period of the last year. The Vinacomin leaders proposed the units to make drastic measures to limit the spreading pandemic, stopping crowded activities, determining and classifying the F0, F1 patients for treating and suitable arranging in production.
Producing Board suggested the pit units to promote investment progress to put the furnaces into operation; the units in coal open producing to make plans to take coal before the rainy season to reach 60% year plan in 6 months, the coal business to expect quantity and quality of import coal for preparing coal mix according to customer requirement.
In the conference conclusion, the General Director high appropriated the strengths of the units inefficient pandemic prevention and production. He also asked the units in an area to one other support
to finalize the generation plan of the all-area, promote the progress of the investment projects, product development and strategy projects for meeting market demand in 2022 and following years.
